The plant's common name is Carrion Flower since most of the Stapelia flowers have an odour resembling rotten meat. The unique beauty of the flower makes up for this.
Lighting:When grown as houseplants, they need bright indoor light to thrive with some direct sunlight.
Watering: Water only when the soil is dry. They grow best in shallow clay pots to avoid excess moisture around the roots. Use a cactus mix and you can even add extra perlite to boost drainage. Do NOT overwater!
