Our most popular option for gardeners planting in bulk or filling garden beds. These packs are lightweight, economical, and easy to work with.

806 Packs – Each 806 pack contains 6 individual plants. These are ideal for mass planting, edging, or mixing and matching in beds and containers.

306 Packs – Slightly larger than the 806s, each 306 pack also contains 6 plants. They're perfect for garden spaces or trialling a few new varieties.

806 Annual Trays – These full trays contain 8 x 806 packs (48 plants total) and are great for large-scale planting. They can be mixed and matched across a wide range of annual varieties — a favourite choice for landscapers and avid home gardeners.

🌱 Use these if you're planting directly into the ground, filling long garden borders, or looking for an affordable way to introduce variety into your space.

If you're after larger, more established plants or want a head start on garden impact, our single pots offer just that. Each contains one well-developed plant.

🌿 These sizes are perfect for patio pots, mixed containers, or if you're looking for a specific feature plant. The larger the pot, the more mature and robust the plant inside — making it easier to get an instant “wow” factor.

Perennials are the backbone of long-lasting gardens. Unlike annuals, these plants return year after year, bringing reliable blooms, foliage, and structure to your landscape. At Scott’s Nursery, we offer a range of perennial pot sizes to suit everything from new garden beds to mature landscape installations.

Our perennial sizing is straightforward —

whether you're starting small or looking for instant impact, we have a size to suit your planting needs.

3.5” Square Pots
These pots contain one individual perennial plant. They're a great size for gardeners looking to trial a new variety or fill smaller garden spaces. Easy to handle and budget-friendly.

5.5” Square Pots
A larger single-plant pot that offers a more established root system for quicker impact in your garden. These are great for filling in perennial beds or planting focal features that will take off quickly.

1 Gallon Round Pots
Contain one robust perennial with a well-developed root system. This is our most popular size for perennial gardening — offering a balance between affordability and performance. Perfect for landscaping, long-term planting, and customers who want a reliable show in the first year.

2 Gallon Round Pots
Our largest perennial offering. These pots contain one mature plant, often ready to make a strong visual impact the same season. Ideal for replacing large gaps in the garden or for instant appeal in displays.

Whether you're starting a fresh bed or refreshing an existing one, these pot sizes let you choose how much time, space, and impact you want from your perennial selections.

Trees and shrubs are key structural elements in the landscape — providing privacy, shade, seasonal interest, and long-term value. At Scott’s Nursery, we carry trees and shrubs in a wide range of pot sizes and growth stages so you can select the size and price point that works for your garden plan.

All of our trees and shrubs are sold as individual plants, and the height/size can vary depending on the variety, time of year, and natural growth habits.

Title

1 Gallon Round Pots
Plants in this size typically range from 3” to 24” tall. This is the most economical option for purchasing trees and shrubs. While small, 1-gallon plants establish very quickly when planted in the ground and properly watered, making them a great choice for patient gardeners or large planting projects.

2 Gallon Round Pots
Plants in this size range from 5” to 24” tall. These offer a slightly more established root system for a quicker impact in the garden without a major jump in price.

3 Gallon Round Pots
Plants range from 8” to 48” tall. These are a great middle-ground option for customers looking for good size and structure without going too large.

5 Gallon Round Pots
Plants range from 12” to 54” tall. These shrubs and young trees are well-established and often begin to take on their mature form. A great choice for faster landscape results.

7 Gallon Round Pots
Plants range from 17” to 54” tall. These are typically more developed specimens, often ideal for creating instant structure or replacing larger gaps in a landscape.

10 Gallon Round Pots
Plants range from 24” to 5 ft tall. These are mature and often visually impactful right away — ideal for instant hedging, privacy screens, or focal points.

Root Ball Trees
These are field-grown trees dug and wrapped in burlap, with the root ball still intact. Heights range from 3 ft to 6 ft. These are generally larger, hardier trees that have been grown in open soil and offer excellent long-term results once established. Best planted in cooler weather for success.

Common Tree & Shrub Terms Explained

Whip
A whip is a young, unbranched tree — essentially a single upright stem without a developed canopy. These are often sold bare root or in small pots and are typically used for fruit trees or shade trees. They are inexpensive and easy to plant but take a few years to develop structure.

Standard Shrub
A standard shrub refers to a shrub that has been trained into a “tree form” — with a clear trunk and a rounded or shaped canopy at the top. These are often used for ornamental appeal, especially in containers, formal gardens, or feature spots. Think of a tree-form rose or topiary lilac.

Regular Bush Shrub
This refers to a naturally-growing shrub that branches from the base and grows in a bushy, spreading form. Most shrubs sold for hedges, borders, and naturalistic plantings fall into this category.

Understanding these terms helps you better plan for spacing, pruning, and long-term care. Ask us if you’re unsure what form a plant will take when mature — we’re happy to help!

Whether you’re growing fresh herbs on the windowsill or filling raised beds with your favourite vegetables, we offer edible plants in a variety of pot sizes and formats to suit any space, budget, or gardening style.

From economical multi-packs perfect for garden beds, to larger patio containers for convenient growing, to bare root bundles for bigger harvests—our edible plant section makes it easy to grow your own food.

Multi-packs are a great choice for gardeners looking to plant in volume. Each cell contains one young plant, perfect for transplanting into garden beds or containers. These packs offer great value and allow for quick coverage in rows or beds.

806 Vegetable Packs
Each pack contains 6 plants of the same variety in small starter cells. These are perfect for traditional row planting or raised garden beds.

306 Vegetable Packs
Also holding 6 plants of the same variety, but in larger cells than the 806s. Ideal for gardeners who want a bit more root development and easier transplanting.

806 Vegetable Trays
A full tray of 48 plants, made up of 8 separate 806 packs. These trays allow you to mix and match different varieties, making them a great option for those planting a variety of crops or planning larger gardens.

Bare root plants are sold dormant — without soil — and are wrapped in moist moss and grower-grade plastic to retain moisture and protect the roots. This method is eco-friendly, lightweight, and cost-effective, especially for perennials or larger planting projects.

When planted bare root plants establish quickly and often catch up to or surpass potted plants by mid-season.

Strawberries (25-Pack)
Each pack contains 25 bare root strawberry plants, perfect for creating a strawberry patch at home. Easy to plant, great for raised beds, garden beds, or containers.

Raspberries (10-Pack)
Each pack includes 10 raspberry canes, ideal for starting your own berry row or edible hedge.

Asparagus (Sold Individually)
Large, thick bare root crowns sold individually. Asparagus is a long-lasting perennial crop that rewards patient gardeners with reliable spring harvests for many years.

Single potted herbs and vegetables are great for patio containers, small-space gardening, or adding a few specialty plants to a larger bed. These offer more developed root systems and often grow faster after transplanting.

3.5” Square Herb Pots
Compact pots containing one herb plant. Perfect for kitchen windows, raised beds, or container combos.

4” Round Pots
One vegetable or herb plant per pot. Great for starting individual favourites or creating a custom mix.

6” Round / 1 Gallon Pots
These larger pots may contain one vegetable or herb plant. They are well-rooted and close to harvest-ready for a faster growing season.

12” Patio Vegetable Pots (Round)
Large patio-sized containers with a single well-developed vegetable plant, such as tomatoes or peppers. Includes a removable plant support cage, making them ideal for decks, balconies, or small gardens.

10” Hanging Baskets (Edible)
Unlike most single-pot veggies, these baskets contain 3 vegetable plants, selected for balanced growth and productivity. Perfect for vertical or hanging edible gardens.
