Monkey Tail Cactus

Cleistocactus winteri subsp. colademonis

With its long, cascading shape and white, hair-like spines, this cactus is easy to grow and ideal for hanging plants. During the growing season, they will bloom with red, vibrant flowers.

Lighting: These cacti need bright but indirect light. If the colour of your cactus is light green, it needs more light. If the colour is yellow-green, then it is happy.

Watering: Water weekly during the growing season, but don't overwater. It is best to underwater as the stems will store water. During the winter months, water roughly every two weeks from spring to fall and monthly during the winter.

Soil: The Monkey Tail Cacti is epiphytic and does not need potting soil. Using a fast-draining soil is best to ensure it does not become water-logged.
