Fringed Poppy Mallow (Callirhoe digitata) produces brightly coloured, cup-shaped flowers throughout most of the summer. It is native to prairie habitats, and its tolerance to drought makes it ideal for the sunniest areas of your garden.

Zone:  4-8

Cold, moist stratification is required. Mix seeds with moist substrate (vermiculite, perlite or moss) and place in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 6-8 weeks. Sow seed at 1/8 inch depth. Do not let seedlings dry out while they are establishing.

Sow directly outdoors in late fall to overwinter.
