This plant's dark green leaves are small, lanceolate, and leathery. Little white, fuzzy, bowl-shaped flowers come in late summer.
Watering: Water the root ball regularly (once a week or more), but do not soak, as this could contribute to possible iron chlorosis. Once established, it can survive periods of drought. Myrtle does not do well with high concentrations of lime found in tap water. Use rainwater if possible.
Lighting: It will need a lot of light and air. Set in semi-shade outside in the hot summer. In autumn, bring them inside to a cool room where temperatures are around 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Place on a south-facing windowsill or beneath grow lights.
