Monstera deliciosa 'White Monster'
The White Monster, is a large form Monstera with leaves that emerge very white and then darken to green, sometimes with faint green venation. While similiar to Mint Monsteras, Mint Monsteras display a minty green and white variegated pattern, which can be more of a speckled or streaky look than the blocky variegation of the White Monster. While both can have a minty appearance, the key distinction lies in the intensity and pattern of the variegation, with the White Monster tending towards more white and a darkening effect, while the Mint tends to have a more consistent minty green and white pattern.
Lighting: Provide bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can damage its delicate leaves, so positioning it near a filtered light source or using interior grow lights is ideal.
Watering: Allow the top two inches of soil to dry out before watering again. This prevents overwatering, which can lead to root rot.
Tip: Providing a support system, such as a sphagnum moss pole, encourages the plant to grow upright, resulting in larger and more fenestrated leaves.
