oya insularis
A sought-after hoya due to its unique grassy foliage and distinct, fragrant flowers that grow in a circular pattern on long peduncles. Hoya insularis is well-suited for growing in hanging baskets, where its slender leaves can trail downwards. It can also be trained to climb a trellis or support pole.
Lighting: This plant thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sun in the morning or late afternoon, but midday sun should be avoided to prevent scorching the leaves.
Watering: Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry out almost completely between waterings. As an epiphyte, it is susceptible to root rot if left in soggy soil. Wilting or wrinkling leaves can be a sign that the plant is thirsty.
Humidity: It is tolerant of average home humidity; it will thrive in higher humidity levels. Using a humidifier, pebble tray, or grouping it with other plants can help provide a more humid environment, especially during dry months.
