Description Detail: A compact, productive snap pea variety bred for smaller gardens and container growing. It produces abundant crunchy, sweet and juicy edible pods that can be eaten fresh, cooked or harvested as tender pea shoots. The plants continue producing well as the weather warms.

Days to Germinate: 7-14 days

Bloom / Harvest: Approximately 58-60 days to maturity. Harvest pods while they are young, plump and crisp for the best flavour and texture.

Germination Needs: Sow seeds approximately 2.5-5 cm (1-2") deep in moist, well-drained soil. Peas germinate best in cool soil. Keep the soil evenly moist until seedlings emerge.

Lighting: Full sun to partial sun

Watering Needs: Keep soil consistently moist, particularly during flowering and pod development. Avoid waterlogged soil, which can cause root problems.

Starting Instructions: Direct sow outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring. Peas do not transplant well. Sow approximately 5 cm (2") apart in rows or wide bands. Provide support if needed as plants develop.

Care Instructions: Grow in fertile, well-drained soil and keep plants consistently watered. Mulch around the plants to help retain moisture and keep roots cool. Harvest pods frequently to encourage continued production.

The variety is specifically suited to large containers and garden beds and produces crunchy, sweet, juicy edible-pod peas. The current packet contains 30 seeds.

Tips For Success: Plant as early as the soil can be worked in spring, keep plants well watered, and harvest pods regularly. For a continuous supply, make successive sowings where growing conditions allow. A trellis or short support can help keep plants upright and make harvesting easier.
