Exposure: Citrosa, also known as Citronella Geranium, thrives in full sun to partial shade, requiring at least 6 hours of sunlight per day for optimal growth.
Blooming Time: While Citrosa is primarily grown for its foliage and citronella scent, it may produce small clusters of pinkish-white flowers during the growing season.
Bloom Duration: The flowering period of Citrosa is not its main feature; however, it may bloom intermittently throughout the summer months under proper conditions.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water Citrosa regularly, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between waterings.
Fertilization: Feed Citrosa with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season to support healthy foliage growth. Alternatively, you can use slow-release granular fertilizers formulated for foliage plants, applying them according to the package directions in the spring and midsummer for sustained nourishment.
