Lighting:Provide bright, indirect light. Morning sun is good, but never keep it in direct Afternoon sunlight. Aim for about six to eight hours of filtered light per day.
Watering:Keep consistently moist but never saturated. Water deeply and then allow it to almost dry out before you water it again. Decrease watering frequency in the winter to approximately every other week.
Tip: Using too much fertilizer or watering with softened water causes mineral buildup in the soil. Aralia are not heavy feeders. It is best to water with rainwater or distilled water, not tap water. Too much salt buildup will eventually damage the roots and reduce growth.
