Here is a delightful-looking summer radish with 2.5-5 cm diameter cherry-red roots that have a pleasing, mild-flavoured white flesh.  Cherry Belle holds great potential for extending the season as it forces well under glass, and maintains its superior eating quality for a long time. An ideal variety for late spring and early summer plantings. Introduced in 1949. Moist soil is essential for germination; cooler temperatures may lengthen germination time.

Sow early in a sunny site as soon as the ground is workable in the spring. Sow seed every two weeks, 12 mm deep and about 2.5 cm apart, in rows about 30 cm apart. Keep soil evenly moist during germination and growth. Harvest in 3-4 weeks when the roots have reached the size of a large marble. Germination takes 3-5 days.
