Start your gardening season the right way!

Join us at Scott’s Nursery in Lincoln on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 from 1:00–2:00 PM for our Seed Starting Class — the first seminar in our 4-part gardening series.

This informative, presentation-style class (not hands-on) will guide you through the essential steps of starting vegetables, herbs, and flowers from seed. Through a detailed PowerPoint and live demonstrations, you’ll learn how to:

• Choose the right seeds and timing for our growing season

• Understand germination requirements and soil temperature

• Plant at the correct depth

• Properly water and light your seedlings

• Pot up at the right stage

• Harden off successfully before transplanting

• Avoid common seed-starting mistakes

Whether you're brand new to seed starting or looking to improve your results, this class will give you the confidence and knowledge to grow strong, healthy seedlings at home.

Each participant will receive a take-home reference pamphlet to use throughout the season.
