Glorious masses of tropical-looking flowers are produced well above the foliage on this non-trailing variety. To encourage continuous blooming, pick off faded and spent flowers. Semi-double flowers are produced in numerous combinations of red, yellow and orange. Plants grow to 30 cm high.

As nasturtiums resent transplanting, directly sow seed into well-drained soil in late May, 2.5 cm deep and 5 cm apart, thinning seedlings to 20 cm apart. Seeds generally germinate within 12 days. Full sun is preferred. Partial shade is recommended in hot summer areas. Blooms have a peppery taste and are quite popular as a salad garnish. We recommend removing spent flowers to help lengthen the blooming period.
