These Perennial Garlic Chive seeds are easy to grow! Leaves, stalks and immature flower buds are used in salads, egg dishes, as a garnish, or as flavouring in stir-fry dishes. The taste is a succulent combination of the soft chive leaf and mild garlic flavour. Grows to 20 cm high with thinly strap-like leaves and white, open, ball-like flower clusters. Also known as Chinese Chives, Ku Chai.

Sow seed directly outdoors in a sunny site with average soil in mid-to-late May or in August through September. Sow seed 6 mm deep and 2.5 cm apart, then thin to 10 cm apart in the garden. Note that germination normally occurs within 14 days of sowing; however, seed can sometimes take much longer to sprout, so be patient.
