If you have a short growing season but still love the taste of home-grown cauliflower, Snow Crown Hybrid is the variety for you. This high-performing hybrid produces big, uniform heads up to 20 cm across and 900 g in weight. Its good wrapper leaves and mildew-resistance ensure a reliable and beautiful harvest that holds very well in the garden.

Cauliflower is best grown during the cooler portions of the growing season.

Planting: Seed can be sown directly in the garden in late spring. For an earlier start, we suggest starting seeds indoors 5 weeks before transplanting in late April/early May. Germination occurs in 10-14 days.

Care: Fertilize lightly and frequently, and never let the plants lack for water. When the heads begin to form, gather the outer leaves and tie them over the “curd” to prevent discolouration from sunlight. Harvest the head when it reaches 20 cm in diameter by cutting the entire head off using a sharp knife.
