Cutleaf coneflower, also called Green-Headed Coneflower and Wild Goldenglow, adds a beautiful burst of yellow at the end of the season. This taller cousin of the Black-Eyed Susan spreads aggressively via rhizomes, forming large clusters of plants. Leaves are edible and considered a nutritious native green by foragers.

Cold, moist stratification is required. Mix seeds with moist substrate (vermiculite, perlite or moss) and place in a plastic bag, and refrigerate for 6-8 weeks. Sow seed at the depth stated on the packet. Do not let seedlings dry out while they are establishing.

Sow directly outdoors in late fall to overwinter.
