A tropical ornamental houseplant highly prized for its exceptionally large, fan-shaped leaflets that resemble silver dollar coins. Native to the Amazon basin in Peru, it stands out from other maidenhair varieties due to its dramatic size and striking colour transformation: its new fronds emerge as a delicate pale pink or copper hue before maturing into a metallic pale green, and finally a rich, deep green against wiry black stems.
