Halifax Seed Beet Early Wonder

Beta vulgaris

Early wonder produces smooth globe-shaped roots that are a rich crimson red. Best picked when they reach about 2" (5 cm) in diameter. The mild flavour is perfect for soup, grilled or pickled. Early Wonder is an heirloom beet that boasts tender and delicious tops, excellent tossed in salad or lightly steamed.

Greens are an excellent source of potassium and vitamins A & C. Roots are a good source of fiber.
