This cactus is often the cactus of choice for grafting onto rootstock to make the popular "Moon Cactus". The bright colours result from a lack of chlorophyll exposing the red, orange, or yellow pigmentation.
Lighting: Provide bright light with some direct sunshine.
Watering: Water sparingly. These plants are drought tolerant. Keep these plants completely dry in autumn and winter. Allow the soil to dry out before watering again.
