A self-supporting philodendron with large dark green leaves which are tinged in red and red petioles.
Lighting: Grows best with indirect sunlight; East or West windows are best. If the plant receives too much, shade it will lose its red colouring.
Watering: Water when the top two inches of soil is dry. Just take care not to overwater your philodendrons. They will rot if they're kept too wet.
Fertilization: You typically don't need to fertilize philodendrons much, if at all, but they appreciate a feeding once or twice a year in spring and summer.
