• Site Selection: Choose a sunny site with well-drained soil.
• Sowing Outdoors: It is preferable to direct seed cosmos in the garden. Sow the seeds $3-6\text{ mm}$ deep in mid to late May.
• Sowing Indoors: One can start them inside if desired four weeks before planting out.
• Upkeep: Germination occurs in $10-14\text{ days}$. Thin to $30-40\text{ cm}$ apart when the seedlings are $5-8\text{ cm}$ tall.
