Romaine is the classic ingredient for a perfect "Caesar". Large long heads are 8 - 12" (23 - 30 cm) long and have dark outer leaves to reveal a tender, thick, pale inside with a creamy white heart. This heirloom variety makes excellent salads and adds a sweet juicy crunch to sandwiches. This loved variety dates back to 1952.

Rich in fiber and potassium, with a moderate amount of vitamin A.
