Citrus Kaffir Lime Std. 12 Pot

Growing your own citrus can be fun and rewarding. They are not hard to care for as long as they get enough light and you pot them in well-draining soil with lots of organic matter.

Light: Citrus need 8-12 hours of full sun per day. This makes a south facing window the only option unless you use supplemental lighting. Even then citrus require supplemental lighting from October to February to maintain good health during the winter months.

Water: Keep the soil on the drier side of moist. Be sure to water only with water that is at room temperature. Citrus do not appreciate cold water.

Fertilizer: Fertilize every 3 weeks spring through summer and every 6 weeks during fall and winter.
