Sambucus canadensis 

Fast growing deciduous shrub with lush green leaves and small white flowers followed by purple/black berries. Used in winemaking, pies and jams.

Blooms in June with fruit ripening in late August and into September.

Plant in part shade. Plant in moist but well-drained soil.
