Gorgeous deep purple leaves with cute 3 petal mauve flowers in the summer.

Lighting: Provide bright light year-round with some direct sun for good foliage color. It will grow in lower light but the leaves will be more green than purple. Shade it from hot, afternoon sun in summer to avoid burning the leaves.

Watering: Water thoroughly, then allow the top inch of soil to dry out between watering. Water less in winter when growth is slower.

Tip: Pinch the new stem tips to promote branching. If your plant becomes straggly with long gaps between leaves, you can cut stems back to about 6 inches long.
